BMW Business RDS

Originally it was available for E31, E36 and Z3 but it can easily be retrofitted to E30, E32 and others.

This radio has high quality Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.0 module with hands-free function and if needed then for extra 10€ I can also add RCA plugs for the amplifier. The radios buttons are programmed to control the Bluetooth music playback.

For the music input the AM function is disabled, all the other features will work as usual (FM, cassette and CD-changer). For activation just press the AM button – the sound quality is crystal clear.

Unlike the Reverse RDS this radio has CD-changer input (not compatible with CD changers with i-bus). It also has Dolby Sound for the cassette and slightly better sound processing. What it is missing is the possibility to program the display meaning in Bluetooth mode there is AM frequency displayed.

Please note that every time the radio is switched on sooner or later the cassette mechanism will start to make rattling noise (it gets powered for a second to check if the cassette is in). The radios I sell don’t yet have that issue but there is no guarantee for how long it would stay like that…
