BMW Reverse RDS Bluetooth Radio
The most reliable BMW radio model of the 90’s
Originally installed in E36 and Z3 models but this unit can also be easily retrofitted into the E30, E32 and others. The only exception is the E31, where the lower display viewing angle makes it unsuitable.
This radio features a high-quality Bluetooth module with hands-free functionality. If needed, RCA outputs for an external amplifier can be added for an additional 20€.
For the music input the AM function is disabled, all other features continue to work as usual (FM and cassette). To activate Bluetooth mode, simply press the AM button – the sound quality is crystal clear. The radio’s buttons control Bluetooth music playback and the display shows both track and caller information.
This model does not have a CD-changer nor MF steering wheel input. If you require those features, you should consider the Business or Professional models.
The radio comes with mounting frame, hands-free microphone, original side covers and code card. If needed, I can supply the appropriate radio connector as well. BMW-specific OEM-style microphone housings and E24/E30 flush-mount radio brackets are also available — please check my other products.

I guarantee that the radio works correctly upon arrival. As these are original BMW units from the 1990s, the 1-year warranty applies to the Bluetooth-related components.

Custom display text(s) for the Bluetooth mode:
When music is selected, the song information appears once as a scrolling text.
After it has finished scrolling, the radio will display your static text, which remains on the screen until the next track begins.
You can also have your own scrolling text (e.g. BLUETOOTH, The Ultimate Driving Machine, etc.), which appears once when the radio is switched to the Bluetooth mode. It has no length limit and must be followed by a static text of your choice.
The static text can be up to 8 symbols long (spaces also count as one character).
