BMW Business CD

This radio does not have bluetooth (but there are several bluetooth adapters available for this model if you look around in the internet…)

Business CD (CD43) was Blaupunkt’s fourth attempt to make a CD radio for BMW after Bavaria Electronic CD I/II and Business CD RDS (CD23) that later came out to be one of the most unreliable and problematic radio model ever offered in the 90’s.

  • The CD drive design was more robust with better components so it rarely malfunctions + the main improvement was that faulty CD drive no longer bricks the whole radio and it can still be used.
  • FM tuner failures are extremely rare.
  • LED-s are used everywhere so no more dark displays because of the burned out bulbs.
  • The use of elastomeric rubber between the display and circuit board instead of fragile foil cable meant that pixel errors were past.
  • Adding CD-changer input and i-bus meant it can be used with MF steering wheel and E38 MID (as a remote control for rear seat passengers for example) and show ID3 tags (song titles and other metadata) if used with some more capable CD-changer emulator bluetooth adapters (Bluebus, Dension etc.)
  • Better sound processing
  • Longer display that fits more characters

The radio is used but in perfect condition. I have added preamp outputs (the signal is suitable for passive components, for active subwoofer you would still need to use line output converter) and also brand new front panel so there are no worn buttons, hanging side covers, faulty volume regulator encoder and display processor issues.

The price is 649€ + shipping
