Bavaria C Business RDS – one of the best sounding head units BMW offered in the 90’s
Originally it was available for E31, E32, E34 and E36 but it can easily be retrofitted to E30 and others.
This radio has high quality Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.0 module with hands-free function and if needed then for extra 20€ I can also add RCA plugs for the amplifier (the signal is suitable for passive components, for active subwoofer you would still need to use line output converter). The radios buttons are programmed to control the Bluetooth music playback.
For the music input the AM function is disabled, all the other features will work as usual (FM, cassette and CD-changer). For activation just press the AM button – the sound quality is crystal clear.
Unlike the Reverse RDS this radio has CD-changer input (not compatible with CD changers with i-bus). It also has Dolby Sound for the cassette and better sound processing. What it is missing is the possibility to program the display meaning in Bluetooth mode there is AM frequency displayed.
Please note that on this radio model the volume regulator encoder has not been replaced meaning sooner or later the volume regulation won’t be so accurate any more. For example you turn the volume button very little but the volume increases/decreases more than you wanted. On the radios that I sell this thing does not yet occur but there is no guarantee for how long it stays like that.
